Support

The goal of Interamericano’s Academic Support Program is to enable all students to maximize their potential, succeed in academics, and experience continued social/emotional growth and development. The Support Program is based on the concept that differentiation is achieved by the continual adjustment of an appropriately challenging learning program to match a student’s demonstrated level and pace of learning. This is achieved through schoolwide Multi Level Student Support (MLSS) models of instruction, and student and parent involvement. Through these programs and partnerships, Interamericano can successfully meet the individual needs of our learners. In the Early Childhood division, we have two highly qualified support teachers providing varied levels of inclusive small group instruction as well as small group instruction in the support program classroom. These supports are targeted and specific to the students’ present levels of performance, their opportunities for growth, and aim to support progression toward grade level expectations.
